Lost and Found

One afternoon, Sophie was riding her bike in the park. Suddenly, she heard a soft cry near the bushes. A small brown dog was sitting alone. He looked scared and his fur was wet.

Sophie got off her bike and walked to the dog slowly. She did not want to scare him. The dog had a blue collar but no name on it. Sophie gave him some water from her bottle.

She took the dog to the park guard. Together, they put a picture on the park's notice board. Two hours later, a worried man came running. "That's my dog Max!" he shouted happily. Max jumped into his arms and licked his face.

The man thanked Sophie many times. Sophie smiled because she had helped a friend find his way home.
