Last Tuesday, Adam's class went to the natural history museum. Adam was excited because he loved dinosaurs. While the teacher was counting the students at the entrance, Adam was already looking at a giant dinosaur skeleton.
The class moved from one room to another. They were learning about ancient animals when Adam saw a small sign that said, "Discover the Ice Age!" He decided to take a quick look. He thought he would catch up in just a minute.
Inside the Ice Age room, there were huge models of mammoths and woolly rhinos. Adam was reading about them carefully when he suddenly noticed the time. Twenty minutes had passed! He ran back, but his class was gone.
Adam felt his heart pounding. The museum was big, and he did not know where to go. While he was standing in the hallway, a kind security guard noticed him. "Are you lost, young man?" she asked gently.
"Yes," Adam whispered. "I lost my class."
"Don't worry. We will find them." The guard smiled and used her radio. After a few minutes, she said, "Your class is in the space room. Follow me."
When Adam joined his class, his teacher was very relieved. "You should always stay with the group," she said firmly but kindly.
Adam nodded. He had learned an important lesson about being careful in big places. But he also smiled, because he had seen the most amazing mammoths in the museum.
