The Helpful Neighbor

Daniel lives in a tall building in the city. An old woman named Mrs. Green lives next door. She is friendly, but she walks slowly because her legs hurt.

One Sunday morning, Daniel saw Mrs. Green carrying two heavy bags from the store. She stopped many times because the bags were too heavy. Daniel ran outside to help her.

"Can I carry your bags?" he asked with a smile. Mrs. Green was very happy. "Thank you, Daniel! You are such a kind boy," she said.

They walked together to her apartment. She offered him fresh cookies because she was thankful. Daniel ate two cookies and felt proud. From that day, he always helped Mrs. Green with her shopping every weekend.
