The Lost Puppy

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Maya. She lived in a small house near the park with her family. Maya had a puppy named Max. Max was brown and white, with big black eyes and a fluffy tail.

One sunny morning, Maya and Max went to the park. Maya was playing on the swings while Max was running after butterflies. Everything was perfect.

Suddenly, Maya looked around. Max was gone! She called his name: "Max! Max! Where are you?" But there was no answer. Maya felt very worried and scared. She looked behind the trees. She looked near the pond. She even looked under the benches. Max was nowhere to be found.

Maya started to cry. An old woman sitting nearby asked, "What happened, dear?" Maya explained that she lost her puppy.

"Don't worry," said the woman with a kind smile. "I saw a small brown dog walking towards the ice cream shop."

Maya ran to the ice cream shop as fast as she could. And there was Max, sitting next to a little boy who was sharing his ice cream with him! Max looked so happy.

Maya hugged Max tightly and said, "Never run away again!" Max barked happily and licked her face. From that day, Maya always kept Max on a leash at the park.
