The Secret Recipe

Every Saturday, Hannah visits her grandma. Grandma Rose lives in a small house with a big kitchen. She always bakes the most delicious cookies in the world.

One day, Hannah asked, "Grandma, can you show me how to make your special cookies?" Grandma smiled and took out an old yellow notebook. "This is my secret recipe," she said. "My mother gave it to me when I was your age."

They worked together for an hour. Hannah added the flour, the sugar, and the chocolate chips. Grandma showed her how to mix everything carefully. The kitchen smelled wonderful!

When the cookies were ready, Hannah tasted one. It was perfect. "Now you know the secret too," Grandma said. "One day, you will share it with your own children." Hannah felt very special.
