The Soccer Match

Last Friday was the big school soccer match. Aaron's team played against the team from the next school. Aaron was a defender and his best friend Omar was the goalkeeper.

The match started fast. After ten minutes, the other team scored a goal. Aaron felt nervous, but he did not give up. He passed the ball to his teammate Lucas, who ran toward the goal and scored! Now the score was one to one.

In the second half, the players were tired but they tried hard. With only two minutes left, Omar made an amazing save. The crowd cheered loudly. Then Aaron kicked the ball far and Lucas scored again!

When the whistle blew, Aaron's team had won two to one. The boys hugged each other. They knew that teamwork was the real winner.
